چکیده

This study is aimed at identifying factors predicting tracheostomy requirement in children diagnosed with a posterior fossa medulloblastoma postoperatively. A retrospective chart review of all patients younger than 18 undergoing resection from 2012 to 2020 Namazi Hospital was conducted. Forty-five (26%) needed after the operation. The most common correlates were brainstem compression and absence gag reflex before Patients who had infiltration by medulloblastoma, bilateral operation, subtotal tumor, postoperative contusion more likely require tracheostomy. No statistically significant difference observed between males females different ages. Medulloblastoma pediatric malignancy. Postoperative ventilator dependency an important complication recovery resection. Considering mutism syndrome its question marks means predisposing factors, we dealt 2-week policy whether there would be any clinical resolution regarding patients' reflex. results show that if aim for total tumor resection, highly costly stressful morbidity can prevented.

Factors affecting postoperative blood loss in children undergoing cardiac surgery

We hypothesized that the influence of cyanotic disease on postoperative blood loss is closely related to age in children undergoing cardiac surgery. Here, we demonstrate that the presence of a cyanotic disease is associated with increased postoperative blood loss in children aged 1 to 6 months. Children with cyanotic disease and aged<1 month who received fresh frozen plasma during cardiopulmona...
